Benefits of Consistency:
Externally, it can greatly improve the usability of the product, reduce the user's learning cost, and at the same time be conducive to the consumer email list communication of the brand image.
Internally, some of the same or similar functions are reused to improve team collaboration efficiency and make resources more fully utilized.
So how can designers achieve consistency?
Consistency is reflected in products in many ways, such as unified visual style and unified interaction.
Visually, it can be color matching, fonts, consumer email list icons, page layouts, illustrations, and unification on different terminals.
The interactive operation can be the way to call out the same similar function on different pages, or the manifestation of animation in some places.
In addition, the consistency of the product with the competing products in the industry itself, such as the music playback page, users have become accustomed to the song promotion map.
The following are the controls for playback switching. The layout of each product is similar. This unification allows users to get started quickly when they come into contact with a new music product without feeling unfamiliar.
The web terminal, desktop version, and web plug-in of the ticking list put the main function information of the page on the left, the middle part is the list list, and the far right is the list details. The colors are gray, white, and light blue. The face style used in the icon style; the visual style of the three terminals is highly consistent, and it also conveys a strong brand concept to users.

The details page of Weibo App and other people's homepage, the comment function of these two pages uses the same control style of the bottom pop-up box, the user can operate directly without thinking, which is to use the same function to repeat on different pages. The same interactive controls are used.
02 Fitts Law
To put it simply, there are two key factors, the distance between the two operating targets and the size of the operating target.
The first factor means two-step operation in the current product. The shorter the distance of the finger movement, the easier the operation; the second factor is that the larger the current operation target, the easier the operation.
In the Graphite Document App, there is a floating new button in the lower right corner of the page. After clicking, the active view will pop up from the bottom. Users can create new documents, tables, etc.; It is precisely by using Fitts's law that the distance of finger movement between two steps is shortened and the difficulty of operation is reduced.
Didi Chuxing, Ruqi Chuxing
On Didi Chuxing’s taxi-hailing page, the App will automatically locate your current location as the departure location, and the destination column will display the text “Enter destination”; the designer designed the input box to be large, and the text font is also large, on the current page It is very eye-catching and greatly facilitates the user's operation; this is the second factor that applies Fitts's law. The larger the current operation target, the easier the operation.
On the other hand, on the taxi page of Ruqi Travel, the size of the departure column and the destination column are the same size, both use the icon + text style, and the departure column uses dark gray icons and dark gray fonts; while the destination column uses dark gray icons and dark gray fonts; Although the icon in one column uses the orange theme color, the color of the text is light gray, and the font size is not enlarged, which is very inconspicuous.
To know that the user's current urgent need is to enter the destination, this design undoubtedly increases the difficulty of the user's operation.
03 Fault Tolerance
When operating the product interface, there are often operating errors due to some reasons, and the losses caused by some errors are irreversible.
So how can designers avoid mistakes in user operations? The principle of fault tolerance can solve this problem very well.
